It’s that time of year again. The time when people rush to buy gifts, decorate the house, and eat a lot of good food. If you guessed that I’m talking about the holiday season, you’re right! The rush and excitement of the holidays can be very stressful and sometimes you just want to take a break and actually enjoy the season. You might even want to take a short family trip. The Biltmore Estate, Hill Ridge Farm, and Panic Point’s Yuletide Nightmare are three destinations you may want to visit this holiday season.

The Biltmore Estate, located in Asheville, North Carolina, is open year round, but during Christmas, the house is an exceptionally special sight. There are dozens of Christmas trees, thousands of lights, and enough  holiday spirit to really put you in the mood for the holidays. Christmas decorations are up from now until January seventh so you have plenty of time to get around to one of America’s largest mansions that holds plenty of history to keep you captivated for a very long time.

Hill Ridge Farms, located in Youngsville, NC, is also open year around, but they have many special attractions open just during the holiday season. These attractions include the Christmas Train, The Festival of Lights, and The Santa House. All of these attractions are at Hillridge Farms until December 31st. This is a great option for the whole family, especially those with younger children.

Panic Point’s Yuletide Nightmare would be a fun outing with friends for those who enjoy thrills and scares. It is located in Youngsville and for one special night, December 16th, the Haunted Forest is transformed into all of your worst Christmas nightmares. After going through the Yuletide Nightmare, you will never think of Christmas the same way again!

There are so many places to visit during the holiday season. Hopefully, one of these places captured your interest. There is something for everyone at these three places. The history lovers might enjoy the Biltmore Estate, Hillridge Farms is fun for the whole family, and The Yuletide Nightmare is for the thrill seekers. Have a happy and safe Holiday!
