Recently several questions were asked to Mr. Quackenbos, a middle school Trivium teacher, to better inform students about him as a teacher and as a person in general. The questions asked, and his answers are as follows.


  1. Are you married and do you have any children?

He responded that he is married but does not have any children.

  1. What was your favorite subject in school?

His response was History was his favorite subject in school.

  1. What do you think the most important things about learning logic and grammar are?

He said the most important things about learning logic and grammar is being able to think and being able to discern what is being said.

  1. Do you prefer teaching logic or grammar?

Mr. Quackenbos replied to this question that he preferred teaching logic.

  1. What is your favorite thing about Thales?

He said that his favorite thing about Thales is the support received from parents, teachers, and administration.

  1. What is the weirdest nickname you have ever received from your students?

The question was considered for a while, but said the strangest one is “Quackenbro.”

  1. What is your favorite sports team?

He quickly responded that his favorite team is the Philadelphia Flyers.

  1. What is your favorite food?

His response was one word, “Pizza.”

  1. Who is your favorite philosopher?

Mr. Quackenbos considered this question for a more extended amount of time and then responded, “Augustine of Hippo.” (If you are unaware, Augustine is a Philosopher who lived in Numidia, modern Algeria, and was born in the year 354 A.D.)

  1. What is your favorite soda brand?

With a bit of thought, Mr. Quackenbos responded, “Pepsi.”

  1. Do you speak any languages? If so, which ones?

Mr. Quackenbos said he learned a little bit of French, and also studied Greek and Hebrew.
