The first words are rough,

The mare may buck.

But, dedication is taming.

With time, you may ride.

The virtue most desired,

Is of the loyalty and kindness-

That lies within that glossy coat

Beating of friendship.

The strong mane,

Providing reassurance.

It’s tough hooves,

Ready to gallop to the moon.

The source of others’ jealousy

Is all the fun and memories,

And only will the time end

On top of a gray deathbed.

The greatest strength you may obtain

On its sturdy back.

Stronger than wit or speed
